Compassionate at-home
pet euthanasia
across the Cotswolds.

Compassionate at-home veterinary services across the Cotswolds. We come to you — so your pet can be surrounded by the people and places they love.

‘Till We Meet Again’ was set up in memory of my beautiful Labrador, Tilly. Despite being diagnosed with elbow dysplasia at an early age, Tilly lived until nearly 14.

She was the biggest character and very much the queen of the family. She did what she wanted when she wanted and how she wanted and always very much knew her own mind.

I knew when it was time and being able to let her go in the peace of her own home surrounded by the people she loved most meant the world to me. It therefore felt only right that I enable others to do the same when the time comes.

Emma Wilkes, veterinary surgeon and founder of Till We Meet Again

Coverage from Tetbury

A local vet you can trust

Till We Meet Again was founded on a simple belief: that every pet deserves a peaceful, dignified end — and every owner deserves to be supported through it properly.

Emma Wilkes BVetMed MRCVS (RCVS No. 6585433) qualified as a vet in 2010 and since then has worked in a number of small animal practices and hospitals. She has a particular interest in surgery, emergency work and geriatric care. At home she is kept very busy by her and her husband's horses, two labradors, rescue Great Dane, cats, ducks and chickens! Their menagerie keeps expanding with regular additions of 'waifs and strays'.....an occupational hazard!

We understand that the hours leading up to a farewell can be filled with guilt, grief and uncertainty. Our job is to take the clinical worry off your shoulders, so you can simply be present with your pet.

"Boomerang was the first dog we owned as a married couple, he was left on our doorstep and we fell on love. He wasn't a normal lab, didn't bark, beg and was a gentle boy and after many checks we decided we couldn't bear to send him to a dogs home so kept him. When he was 14 he started to struggle with mobility so called Emma for a quality of life assessment. She was kind and compassionate when she told me he didn't have long left and didn'trush us to make a decisionjust gave us the facts.. Emma had to be called out early hours the following morning after Boomer suffered a stroke and was disorientated, she gave our boy a dignified passing in the comfort of his own home with us. I cannot recommend Emma highly enough to look after you and your adored pet at the most heartbreaking time."

"We recently had to say goodbye to our much-loved dog at home. I firstly called Emma for advice and she was so kind and understanding she took the time to talk things through with me and helped me make the hardest decision. I can’t thank Emma enough for the kindness and compassion she showed throughout. From the moment she arrived, she was calm, gentle and so respectful — both with us and with our dog. She explained everything clearly and gave us all the time we needed, never rushing or making us feel uncomfortable. It was such a heartbreaking day, but Emma made it peaceful and dignified. Having her come to our home meant our dog could be in familiar surroundings, comfortable and loved until the very end. Emma is a truly special vet, and I would recommend her to anyone facing this difficult time."

"It takes a really special breed of person to be a vet. Quite how they do what they do is still beyond me. Emma is extremely knowledgeable and massively experienced in treating and caring for elderly dogs – she really knows her stuff and will not give up easily - she is a brilliant vet. So if you are not sure about things then ask her advice. She will give you honesty and support when you need it - and the answer is not always the one you expect. When the time does come, at those saddest and toughest moments, then to have someone like Emma on hand, and at home – someone with such experience and competence, her calmness and kindness is a huge comfort at the very worst of times. It is still so horribly tough but Emma is really lovely – it just means one less thing to worry about and you can rest assured that your old friend could not be any better served."

+
Absolutely — and we encourage it. You can hold your pet, be close to them, and take all the time you need before, during and after. There is no rush. This is your moment together.

What happens afterwards?

+
We handle all the administrative requirements. If you'd like cremation, we can arrange collection and give you the option of individual cremation (ashes returned to you) or communal cremation. We'll walk you through every option.

+
Pricing depends on the service, your pet's size, and your location. We are transparent about costs before you commit to anything. In many cases we are competitively priced compared to local vet practices. Please call us for a quote.
