Tilly, the Labrador who inspired Till We Meet Again

We provide at-home pet euthanasia and end-of-life veterinary care across Stroud and the surrounding Five Valleys, including Nailsworth, Painswick, Minchinhampton, Bisley, and Chalford. From our base in Tetbury, we are typically with you within 25 minutes of agreeing a time.

Stroud's valleys are home to a community that cares deeply about the wellbeing of its animals. When the time comes to let a much-loved pet go, we believe they deserve to do so in familiar surroundings — without the anxiety of an unfamiliar vet surgery, and without any time pressure on your family.

Till We Meet Again was founded by Emma Wilkes BVetMed MRCVS (RCVS No. 6585433), a veterinary surgeon since 2010 with a background in surgery, emergency care, and geriatric medicine. Emma and her team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including same and next-day visits.

Emma Wilkes, veterinary surgeon and founder of Till We Meet Again

A local vet you can trust

Emma Wilkes BVetMed MRCVS (RCVS No. 6585433) qualified as a vet in 2010 and has since worked across small animal practices and hospitals, with a particular interest in surgery, emergency work, and geriatric care.

Till We Meet Again was founded in memory of Emma's Labrador, Tilly — because Emma understood first-hand what it means to let a beloved pet go at home, surrounded by the people they love most. We come to you, so your pet can be in their own space, on their own terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the process painful for my pet?

+
No. The procedure is entirely pain-free. We use a gentle sedative first so your pet is completely relaxed and unaware, followed by a final injection. The process is calm and peaceful throughout.

How do I know if it's the right time?

+
This is the hardest question. We offer quality of life assessments specifically to help you answer it. We'll talk honestly with you about your pet's comfort and prognosis — and there's never any pressure to proceed.

How quickly can you come?

+
We aim to respond as quickly as possible and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In many cases we can arrange a visit the same day or next day. Please call or WhatsApp 01666 719049.

Can I be with my pet throughout?

+
Absolutely — and we encourage it. You can hold your pet, be close to them, and take all the time you need before, during and after. There is no rush. This is your moment together.

What happens afterwards?

+
We handle all the administrative requirements. If you'd like cremation, we can arrange collection and give you the option of individual cremation (ashes returned to you) or communal cremation. We'll walk you through every option.

How much does it cost?

+
At-home euthanasia starts from £300 and quality of life assessments from £200 — both include the home visit. Litter health checks, vaccinations and microchipping start from £120 per puppy or kitten. Please call or WhatsApp us for a confirmed quote.

Do you see all types of animals?

+
We predominantly care for dogs and cats, but please get in touch to discuss your pet. We'll always do our best to help or direct you to the right specialist if needed.
